Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker: For he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. - Psalms 95:6-7 NIV
While watching TFC, it’s a very good feeling to see our Kababayans being successful and recognized in many fields worldwide, like Efren Pinaflorida and Manny Pacquiao. Filipinos are very talented and can really excel. We are also very loving, hospitable and kind. That is why; it is so depressing to see many people suffering, like what happened during typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng. It really breaks my heart when I see people especially children leaving helpless, hopeless, homeless and asking for help. Generally our country is amazing, people are good but poverty is somewhat overwhelming. In the midst of the economic struggles, poor governance, and poverty, the passion in worshipping Jesus revives and restores us. We, us Christians, do understand and believe that God is our Maker, and that we are to worship Him no matter what. I wish everybody can still rejoice and worship God, despite of all difficult situations and problems that may come our way. I hope that all of us, even our kids could see what it means to have so little, yet be so in love with God, not for what He can give, but for who He is! One thing I have learned is that no matter what, God is good! And He is in control of everything, HE is our Maker and we are the people of HIS pasture. Yes, times can get tough and rough, but remember, He is God and He is Sovereign. We are His creation and it is our duty to worship Him - who made us all. He’s already done so much for us - more than we deserve and imagine. It’s His nature to be good and to do good things for us. We’re His children and He loves us beyond what we can ever understand and fathom. by: Sis. Cora Cruz (WIN-Shj. Prayer Ministry WEB-Coorditor) |
