MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

As leaders you have invested a significant amount of time, energy, and concern through the efforts of your ministry to bring glory to God.  The purpose of the ministry development process is to assist ministries and ministry leadership in being more effective through focusing, planning, structuring, developing, and enhancing ministries.  This process is a mechanism for balancing the creativity and freedom of individual and group initiatives with the organization and mission of the church.  Completion of this process is recognition that a ministry:

• Appears to be led by the Holy Spirit,
• Has a good plan that encourages faithfulness and fruitfulness,
• Has adequate leadership and support,
• Meets a broad-based need within the congregation
• Fits within the vision and mission of the church
• Can cooperate with other ministries in the church, and
• Is accountable to God and to the church for the ministry provided
